Clebern Randolph Fincher

June 16, 1936 - April 8, 2022

Mr. Clebern Randolph Fincher, 85, of Matthews, NC passed away on Friday, April 8th, 2022. He passed away at home with those who loved him most by his side. Mr. Fincher was born on June 16th, 1936, in Mecklenburg County, NC to the late Randolph McCraven Fincher and the late Josephine Faulk Fincher. He was also preceded in death by his brother, J.R. (Randy) Fincher, and his sister, Helen Fincher Newton. Mr. Fincher served our country in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1958, and further served in the Air Force Special Reserve until 1962. He retired from Pelton & Crane in Charlotte, NC in 1997. He enjoyed gardening and grew the best tomatoes around. Mr. Fincher leaves to mourn his passing and celebrate his life, former wife, Loretta Simpson Fincher of Indian Trail, NC, daughter, Sony Fincher Hogan of Indian Trail (Zachary Hargett {Samantha}, Erin Hargett, Caden Hargett, Reili Hogan, and Zoi Hogan), daughter, Robin Fincher Harkey, and husband Dennis of Indian Trail (C. Tyler Harkey), and daughter, Kit Fincher of Indian Trail ( Molli Pressley and J.C. Pressley). He also leaves adopted grandson, Rivers Smith of Hartsville, SC, three great-grandchildren, and sister, Betty Fincher Pinkston of Matthews, NC. Military Honors will take place on Saturday, April 23rd, 2022, at 6:00pm, immediately followed by a Celebration of Life Party with food and music at 100 Education Drive, Indian Trail, NC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and Cancer Research.
