Elizabeth "Betty" Conder

June 10, 1932 - January 23, 2022

Elizabeth "Betty" Conder, 89, of Matthews,NC, daughter of the late H.W. Patrick, Sr and Elizabeth Gordon Patrick, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Matthews Glen. Betty was born June 10, 1932 in Charlotte, NC and was a graduate of East Mecklenburg High School, Class of 1951. She was a lifetime member of Matthews United Methodist Church and the Elizabeth Patrick Sunday School Class. She had been the longest living member of the church until her death. Betty retired, after many years, from Dean Insurance, Inc. as a personal lines insurance agent. Betty was predeceased by her husband, F.H. "Dink" Conder, her sisters, Martha Anna Crowell, Jackie P Guy, her twin brother, H.W. "Billy" Patrick,Jr. and her beloved dogs, Jet, Rex and Fritz., While she never had children of her own, she is survived by many nieces and nephews whom she adored and loved as her own. Betty, aka, Elizabeth, Bet, Aunt Bet and Bee, was always kind, caring and devoted to serving others as a volunteer, faithful friend and companion including her little furry friends. Anyone who knew Betty was blessed to have had her in their life. Now she has rejoined her heavenly family and friends and will be greatly missed by those she has left behind. There will be a memorial service at Matthews United Methodist Church at 12:30pm on Saturday, February 12, 2022. Due to covid, you are asked to please wear a mask inside the sanctuary, there will be no visitation and a private family burial following the memorial service.
