Elizabeth A.”Betty” Hans of Matthews, NC, passed away in her 94th year on November 29, 2021. Betty was formerly of Long Island, NY. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Frederick W. Hans Sr. Betty was born on September 25, 1927, in Glendale, NY. Daughter of the late Otto and Augusta Prugel. She is survived by her children Bettyann Swensen (Larry), Susan Hoelderlin (Steve), Frederick “Rick” Hans (Diana), Her grandchildren Karen (John), Lauren (Steve), David, Wendi (Shawn), Mark (Olivia), Steven, Rachel, Krissy (Kenny), Tiffany (Greg), Ricky and 15 Great-Grandchildren. Betty loved her family and friends. She was a people person and always ready to help anyone. She was a great cook and loved to entertain her family for all the holidays. Betty was an excellent seamstress and made a number of wedding gowns for the brides in her family. Betty was always beautifully dressed with her hair styled and handbag, accessories to match. She had a big heart and was generous with all. She will be greatly missed by all who were lucky to know her. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations made to Hospice& Palliative Care Charlotte Region, PO Box 470408, Charlotte, NC 28247 A celebration of her life will be held on January 10th, 2022 at 2:30pm, Heritage Funeral Home, 3700 Forest Lawn Drive, Matthews, NC 28104
