Georgia Whitley Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Georgia Whitley Of Pineville Mrs. Whitley, 90, passed away at Brighton Gardens of Charlotte on December 24, 2021. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, December 28th at 2pm at Forest Lawn East Cemetery. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Hank who died June 15, 1990. Georgia was born on June 6, 1931 in Pineville to the late Elmer Earnheart and Ninia Osborne Earnheart. She was also preceded in death by siblings, Martha Quick, Emily Bowie and Holt Earnheart. Mrs. Whitley enjoyed cross stitching and walking her dog, Ben. She was strong in her faith and was the ‘go to’ person for prayers at Brighton Gardens. Georgia was a member of Pineville Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by her children, Jacquelyn MacLaughlin (Chuck), Susan Whitley, David Whitley (Karen); siblings, Nancy DeVries and Cornelia “Flip” Wood; grandchildren, Heather Goodman (Richie) and Phillip MacLaughlin (Danielle); great-grandchildren, Davis, Lucy and Charlie and nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pineville Church of the Nazarene. Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home, Ballantyne Chapel.
