Geraldine C. Nelson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mrs. Geraldine C. Nelson, 88, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022. She was born on July 14, 1933 in the Bronx, NY, daughter to the late Dionysius DiSalvatore and Gereda Christoforo DiSalvatore. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, George A. Nelson, Sr.; children Teri Alexander and husband Jim, Gerry Wall and Husband Rich, Sr., George Nelson, Jr. and wife Mandy, and Garrett P. Nelson and wife Erin; grandchildren Paul Halaburda and wife Suzanne, Jennifer Lumseyfai and husband Jonathan, Bryan Nelson and wife Chelsea, Katie Wall, Richard Wall, Jr. and wife Jessica, Carly Almeyda and husband Dimitrii, and Emma Nelson and fiance Nick Karp; and also by great-grandchildren Savannah Nelson, Peter & Robert Halaburda, Richard (Tre) Wall, III; and one on the way Carmella Rose Lumseyfai. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from 1:00PM until 4:00PM and on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 10:00AM until 12:00PM at Heritage Funeral Home, Weddington Chapel, 3700 Forest Lawn Drive, Matthews, NC 28104. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 2:45PM at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 8015 Ballantyne Commons Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28277. Interment will follow the service at Forest Lawn East Cemetery.
