Gloria Mazzei

April 19, 1935 - January 26, 2022

Gloria Mazzei, 86, the daughter of Faustino and Maria Ferrari, passed away on January 26, 2022, at Atrium Health Union in Monroe, North Carolina. Gloria was born in 1935 in Brooklyn, New York and grew up there with her 3 brothers and 3 sisters. As a young girl, she and her sisters would sing and dance at special events. She married her husband Albert Mazzei in 1954 when he returned from serving in the Korean War. They were married for 39 years when he passed away in 1993. They had 4 children together, Joseph (his wife Linda), Peter (his wife Beth), Christopher (his wife Darlene), and Maria (her husband Anthony). She has 11 grandchildren, Jennifer, Faustino, Giovanni, Jessica, Michael, Samantha, Amanda, Stephanie, Christopher, Corey, and Rocco. She also has 14 great grandchildren, Matthew, Jack, Nicholas, Mark Anthony, Samuel, Alex, Breanna, Joshua, Caleb, Eden, Lincoln, Cora, Adelaide, and Orson. Gloria will be greatly missed by her family, friends and by her beloved cat, Kitty. Funeral services will be private. A virtual memorial service will be held on a later date for family and friends to celebrate Gloria’s life.
