Robert Edmond Zboch

October 14, 1939 - March 9, 2022

Mr. Robert (Bob) Edmond Zboch, 82, of Matthews, passed away Wednesday, March 9th, 2022 peacefully at his home. He was born October 14, 1939, just outside of Detroit, in Dearborn MI. Bob, or as he was called by his grandchildren, "Nonalds", loved his family and treasured time with his grandchildren. He loved looking at new cars, eating pepperoni pizza, lunching with his buddies & telling stories. He also truly enjoyed watching John Wayne movies & of course the news. For those who knew him, recognized that his family was everything to him. Left to cherish his memory: his wife Deborah Zboch; sons Robert Zboch (Rhonda Zboch), Marc Zboch (Pam Zboch), Travis Zboch (Heather Zboch); daughter Kellie Zboch (Carl Johns); grandsons Zachary Zboch, Eben Zboch, Marc Zboch, Will Zboch, Greg Zboch, Jace Zboch, Luke Zboch, Alexander Emerson, Brayden Zboch, Beckett Zboch; and granddaughter Avery Zboch. On his 17th birthday, he went to join the Navy where he worked in surgery & then finished his military career in the Air Force. From there, he supervised several districts for convenience store & oil companies before starting a variety of new entrepreneurial ventures. He was a business mentor to his children and a close friend. Family will be welcoming visitors on Saturday March 19, 2022 between 1:00 - 2:30 pm at the family's home. Please contact the family for the address. Afterwards his ashes will be inurned at Weddington United Methodist Church Columbarium at 4:00 pm. The columbarium is located in front of the church cemetery, which is directly across Providence Road from the main campus.
