    November 16, 1934 - January 29, 2022

Ronald Lewis Cardoza, 87, Charlotte, passed into the arms of our Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 29, 2022. He was born on November 16, 1934 in Newport, Rhode Island to the late Magdalene and Manuel Cardoza. Following high school, Ron attended the Air Force Guided Missle school and Embry School of Aviation. On May 21, 1955, he married his best friend and the love of his life Sonia Lisa Sabatini and at the time of his passing they had been married 66 years. During his career in aeronautics, he achieved a license in Aeronautical and Engine design and building, and worked for 37 years at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Corp. In his spare time, Ron loved spending time with his family, playing golf, snow skiing, watching sports and being a vital part of the Anti-Abortion movement. His church was very important to him as well and attending with his family was something he enjoyed. Ron was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. In addition to his wife Sonia, he is survived by his daughter Suzan and her husband Michael Capozzoli and daughter Caryn and husband Bob Cusick; granddaughter Kendall Nance and grandsons Christopher Duerden and Nicholas Capozzoli; great grandchildren: Beckett Duerden, Harrison Duerden, Penny Duerden, McKenzie Nance and Ellie Nance. He will be missed by Cosmo, his Malti-poo. Visitation will be held at Friday, February 4, 2022 beginning at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral service celebrating his life starting at 11:00 a.m. He will be buried at Forest Lawn East Cemetery immediately following.
