Russell Jon Lindgren may be remembered as the “Life of the Party”, but he always made sure that every single person was having the time of their life at the party. Today we are celebrating the life of Russell Jon Lindgren a dedicated husband, father, brother and son. Russ was 43 years old residing in Matthews, NC. where he passed away unexpectedly on March 27th, 2022, at his home. He was born on January 8th, 1979, in Virginia, Minnesota. He is survived by his loving wife, Kristie, adoring children, Reygan (13) and Kamren (10), loving brother Todd and his family, Rebecca, Charlie (3) and Parker (1) Lindgren, Parents; Brian Lindgren, Diane Semple, Grandparents; Herb and Greta Lindgren and Ron Thompson Sr. Including In-laws, Keven and Debbie Okes and all the numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Russ graduated from East Tennessee State University, where he received a full athletic scholarship and was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. His athletic talents led him to play arena football for the Cape Fear, Wildcats. His dedication to sports was apparent in all his actions and the drive he had to be successful. Russ joined Insight Global where he dedicated 18 years. He was a founding member of the Denver office, in addition to opening many others. He was as stronger leader as a Regional Manager and led many teams to success. Russ was awarded the Lifetime Achievement award in 2020. His individual accomplishments were not what mattered to him most, but the success of those around him. Russ had many hobbies, but those that stand out the most are; his love for hunting in MN, being a master chef in the kitchen and on the grill, hosting annual chili cook offs, cheering on Florida State Seminoles through the wins & losses, sharing his love for sports with his kids, spending time with his family at home or traveling, and sharing his big heart and personality with all who he encountered. As we all know Russ did things in a big way including his beloved Great Dane, Renegade, who was truly a man’s best friend. Russ will be missed, but always remembered. The family requests that in lieu of flowers a $16 donation be made in his name to the Champions Fund to support the ETSU Football program.
