Ruth Margaret Boutelle Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ruth Margaret Boutelle, 99, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Hospice of Union County. She was born in Providence, RI on July 22, 1921 to the late Kathleen Barrett and Thomas D. Flaherty. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always put her family first. She was married to her late husband, Maurice Hugh Boutelle for 63 years. She served our Country as a Nurse in the United States Army before giving birth to her first child. She enjoyed her career as a nurse which was a reflection of her nurturing spirit. She lived in Panama, Japan, Germany, Virginia, and Florida and was an extensive world traveler. She was an active participant in her Church, bridge club, garden club, and enjoyed being with family. Ruth is survived by: Children : Virginia Yeager, Fuller Thomas (Dianne), Mark (Barbara), and Barbara. Grandchildren : Susan Easley (Christian), Stephen Yeager, Judy Tiddy (Michael), Julie Kelly (Sean), Brianna Boutelle (Guy), and Taryn Boutelle. Great-Grandchildren : Kevin, Parker, Lauren, Sean, Brooklyn, Dylan, and Mason. In addition, Ruth was predeceased by her husband Maurice Hugh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Charlotte, NC. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
