    Suzanne Brown Moffett

    January 14, 1949 - January 22, 2022

Suzanne “Susie” Brown Moffett, born on 1/14/1949, passed away peacefully in the hospital on 1/22/2022 at 73 years of age. She was preceded by her father Col. Charles Edward Brown and mother Josephine Lorraine Johnson Brown, and brother Charles Edward “Rastus” Brown II. She was survived by her husband, Randal Glenn Moffett and her children Jennifer Lynne Reitz (and grandchildren Helen Lorraine Stewart, Grant Jefferson Stewart, and Grace Elizabeth Stewart), Thomas James Reitz (wife Kimberly Michelle Reitz and grandson Aiden James Reitz), and Christopher Ryan Moffett (and wife Sonya Marie Jilani). Susie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and coworker to many. Her beautiful, radiant smile has been burned into the memory of all who knew her; and her bright social nature was enjoyed by all who met her. Susie worked a variety of jobs in the service industry, was an active church member for many years, traveled with close friends over the years, and was always willing to come to the aid of her children. She had an unwavering devotion to her family and instantly became Mama Bear to protect her children with a fierce love every time it was needed. We are all so proud of Susie for living life with a great big smile on her face despite adversity. Her children cherish her as Mom, her grandchildren treasure every memory with her, her friends and family weep at the thought of life without her. The family plans to spread her ashes in places that were endearing to her and her loved ones. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Please use this forum to share your personal memories of Susie. So many of us loved her dearly, and we all had some wonderful times with her. The family would LOVE to hear your memories, favorite moments, fun stories, etc.
