A Letter to Our Community Regarding COVID-19 ~ May 20, 2020 Update
Amidst a quickly changing environment
surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic we want to update and share with you how we
are continually adapting to best serve you and our community. We are in
constant contact with State and Local leaders regarding our ever changing
regulations governing permissible gathering limits, and CDC requirements to
ensure the safety of your family and our staff.
This presents a clear challenge in
gathering family and friends for visitations and funerals. Given the value a
funeral holds in initiating the healing process of grief, we are striving to
accommodate families’ requests in every way possible. We will continue to make
proactive decisions as we learn more about the corona virus and take
responsible actions that are grounded in care and service to our families.
We are still holding services at our
funeral home and at the graveside where immediate family and close friends can
lay their loved ones to rest in accordance with current federal and state
mandates on gathering size, which is currently at 50 people. We are also able
to live stream services for those who are unable to attend. Larger public gatherings can be postponed to
a later date when guidelines become less restrictive if you so choose, to help ensure
the health and safety of all people in attendance.
We will continue to sit down with you to
plan funeral arrangements or, if you are more comfortable, we can do this via
teleconference, or through email. Amidst the current health concerns, we don’t
want you to lose sight of the importance a funeral has. Each family deserves
the opportunity to mourn their loss and honor the life of their loved one.
In these uncertain times, we want you to feel
assured and have the peace of mind that our professional and caring staff is
here to serve you. We stand by to address any concerns or questions you may
have – we are only a phone call away.
