A Letter to Our Community Regarding COVID-19 ~ May 21, 2021 Update
Amidst a quickly changing environment surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic we want to update and share with you how we are continually adapting to best serve you and our community. We are in constant contact with State and Local leaders regarding our ever changing regulations governing permissible gathering limits, and CDC requirements to ensure the safety of your family and our staff. Currently masks are not required, but recommended if you have not received vaccinations when entering any public business in NC per the CDC and Governor Roy Cooper's orders.
Currently there are no limits in NC for the number of people attending a visitation/receiving of friends, and funerals per the Governor's orders. We are also able to live stream services for those who are unable to attend. We strongly recommend everyone to use their own best judgement in keeping their selves and their loved ones safe, especially those in a high risk group.
We will continue to sit down with you to plan funeral arrangements or, if you are more comfortable, we can do this via teleconference, or through email. Amidst the current health concerns, we don’t want you to lose sight of the importance a funeral has. Each family deserves the opportunity to mourn their loss and honor the life of their loved one.
In these uncertain times, we want you to feel assured and have the peace of mind that our professional and caring staff is here to serve you. We stand by to address any concerns or questions you may have – we are only a phone call away.
Sincerely, Harris High Funeral Director/Co-Founder
As a result of recent federal relief legislation, FEMA is providing Funeral Assistance up to $9,000 in funeral assistance to qualified families who have incurred COVID-19-related funeral expenses after January 20, 2020.
