    Louise McClain

    November 30, 1937 - September 11, 2021

Carol "Louise" Crump McClain 11-30-1937 - 9-11-2021 Louise went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 11, 2021. Her funeral to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 12pm at Sardis Baptist Church with Pastor Kenn Hucks officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 11am. Burial to follow at Ritch cemetery. She was born on November 30, 1937 in Mecklenburg County, daughter of the late George Graham Crump and Fronnie Elizabeth Hartis Jordan. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Reid McClain and step-father Earl Jordan and all her siblings, Jack Crump, Mary Atwood, Vivian Yow, Rachel Horne and Donnie Jordan. Kind, compassionate, loving, positive, cheerful, selfless, happy, inspirational and generous. These are a few words that describe our mother. She had a kind soul and saw the good in everyone. Momma always said, “If you can't say something nice about them then don't say anything at all", "Oh yea of little faith", "Well think positive, spring will be here in six weeks and the birds will be singing", "Now well, this too shall pass", "Don't borrow from tomorrow's sorrows", "Well we're not promised a bed of roses", and "Let's just make the best of it". She was inspiring to a lot of people and kind to everyone. She woke up every day with a smile and a cheerful word, even when her body showed different. We know her end story but when she runs across our mind we will remember her whole story and be inspired to live more like she did.... finding the good in each day. Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Daniel Reid McClain and Angela Gale Hasty (Darren); grandson Dillon Hasty and Brooke; ‘in-laws’ Bill and Margaret Rowell, Colleen Shearin, Christene McLain and Nancy Crump; Glynn Horne; and numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home, Indian Trail Chapel. Online condolences may be left at www.heritagecares.com.
